Navio programs
Navio programs turn career exploration into direct experience. Our annual conference brings Ontario secondary students into conversation with people studying, teaching, and working across business.

Navio NEXT is Navio Pathways’ annual conference. It is a free, in-person career exploration event for Ontario secondary students and other high-school-aged youth. The 2026 conference will take place in Mississauga, Ontario, on November 21 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The venue is to be announced.
NEXT is for students who are curious about business but want more than a list of job titles. Participants can hear from professionals, professors, and university students, ask specific questions, and compare the realities of working and studying in different fields. The goal is not to push one route; it is to give students more context for the choices ahead.
Conference experience
The day mixes shared sessions with direct conversation, so students can listen, ask, compare, and participate.
Professionals and educators will discuss how business careers differ, what their work involves, and which experiences shaped their direction.
Question-and-answer sessions will give students space to ask about education, skills, responsibilities, opportunities, and the less-visible realities of a field.
Networking periods will help students speak directly with professionals, professors, university students, and peers who share an interest in business.
Workshops will give students a structured way to think through career questions, communicate ideas, and connect discussion to practical next steps.
Students can learn how programs, campus experiences, and routes into business may differ, then use those details to guide further research.
Career areas
NEXT introduces several fields so students can compare the work, questions, and environments behind each one.
Explore how people assess risk, allocate capital, understand markets, and support financial decisions.
Learn how founders recognize opportunities, test ideas, build teams, and create value under uncertainty.
See how service, operations, guest experience, leadership, and commercial decisions work together.
Understand how research, positioning, creativity, communication, and customer behaviour shape demand.
Explore how people coordinate teams, make decisions, improve operations, and lead organizations.
People in the room
Professionals, professors, and university students will be at NEXT to speak and answer questions from participants.
Hear about day-to-day responsibilities, routes into a field, changing expectations, and the lessons that only become visible through work.
Ask how areas of business are taught, what students learn, how fields are changing, and how to think about academic preparation.
Learn about the transition from high school, coursework, campus life, clubs, internships, and the choices students are currently navigating.
2026 event details
